˚♪ Early Beginnings˚♪
A Childhood Immersed in Music
Schumann Robert is a classically trained pianist who has been playing the piano since the age of three, first learning under the guidance of his father, a choir and music director in Boston. Growing up in a deeply musical family, Schumann began accompanying his father's choir at the age of six, performing in churches across Boston, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Montreal throughout his youth.

From ages seven to eighteen, he studied piano under Jennifer Elowsky-Fox at the Community Music Center of Boston while also taking classes at prestigious institutions such as the New England Conservatory, Boston University, Berklee College of Music, and Interlochen Music Camp.

Teaching, Performing, and Family Life
After earning his degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Schumann relocated to Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2007, working as a Replenishment Manager and later as a Logistics Planner at Walmart’s Home Office. In 2017, he attained his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Arkansas, where he studied under acclaimed pianists Jura Margulis and Claudia Burson.

Throughout his musical journey, Schumann has taught private and group piano lessons at various institutions in the Northwest Arkansas area, including the University of Arkansas Community Music School, Arkansas Arts Academy, and Northwest Arkansas Community College, where he served as an Adjunct Piano Professor. In addition, he has worked as an accompanist for soloists and ensembles and has directed choirs throughout the region​
